I don't quite get it being a promo art should get less respect then original work, unless the image wasn't created by him (or atleast partially by him) it should atleast get the respect of it being created, even if the concept is not original.
From what I understand Atomhawk did create the image, and if not, then why the hell are you faving a scan from the mortal kombat artbook? IF you find this objectional cause ''it's promo art'', a scan must be atleast twice as horrible for you.
I would like you the provide for me some evidence of him not creating this (or someone else creating this)
Ask him.
it even is listed on their website, I do believe one must ask permission to post it, if you believe this not done or he did not create it.. why not contact the original creators?
btw, I think that atomhawk design is founded by former midway employees even, considering MK9 probably already was in development, they atleast are affiliated in the fact that they worked for the same company at the time.
I just kind of doubt that a business would show concept art/promo art not done by themselves, with the risk of ruining future business deals..
But I suppose it could be possible, I for one are not convinced yet and let it stay in my favourites till.
